Borna Barisic happy in Glasgow as Rangers exit talks continues to swirl

Rangers defender Borna Barisic is happy in Glasgow as exit talks continue to swirl around Europe in January.

That’s according to Football Scotland, who reports that the Croatian is enjoying life under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

This comes after reports from the Sun claiming that representatives of Barisic had been touting his name south of the border and across Europe.

With a bid said to be knocked back already from Watford, it appears as though this was an easy story to knock up.

Thankfully, this report looks to have knocked back those rumours that Barisic’s team could be looking to get him out of Ibrox this month.

Interest or not, it is expected that the 29-year-old is valued at £5million with two years left on his current contract.

Put to bed.

Barisic has no reason to be unhappy at Ibrox, everything has been looking up for the Croatian despite Steven Gerrard leaving.

Van Bronckhorst has kept confidence in his ability, and apart from that forced absence through illness in December, he has played every week.

The Bears have brought in up to £16million from Nathan Patterson alone so that financial burden has been lifted and also the need to let anyone else leave – especially important first-team stars such as Barisic.

His representatives may have been reported to have been touting his name around Europe, but that may not be the case.

All that matters is that Barisic is happy, and it looks as though he will still be at Ibrox once the window slams shut in three weeks time.
