Rangers could seal permanent move for James Sands and sell him in 2023 – Jordan Campbell
Rangers could sell James Sands in the same 2023 transfer window in which they make his move permanent, according to Jordan Campbell.
The Athletic journalist insisted that the Bears plot three windows ahead, and bringing players while making profits on those already at the club is a model strictly followed.
Sands arrived at Ibrox this week on an 18-month loan with an exclusive option to buy, something that could be taken advantage of next year.

Writing for The Athletic this morning (07 January), Campbell made the wild transfer suggestion before anything has been made permanent.
“There may even be the possibility, given the level of interest in Sands’ signature, that when it comes to buying him in summer 2023, Rangers purchase him and quickly flip him for profit in the same window in a deal that would highlight how they are thinking ahead nowadays,” he wrote.

Interesting.
Ross Wilson clearly has one of the best teams in the United Kingdom behind him, and it is only benefitting us in every single window.
Having scouts across the globe covering games is something not everyone can do, but targeting America clearly helped with this one, as German sides were beaten to bring Sands to Ibrox.
This all depends on what happens in the next year before 2023, though.
What happens if Sands becomes an indispensable member of the starting XI and dominates those around him? There is no chance he will be shipped on.
If he impresses but struggles to cement a first-team spot and we can double our money spent on him in 2023, it would be a no brainer.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst will only be concentrating on how he makes us better at this moment in time, never mind what kind of profit he can produce.
