Danilho Doekhi keen on move to Govan, Rangers set to table offer – reports

Vitesse defender Danilho Doekhi is said to be keen on a move to Govan amid interest from Rangers this month, according to Glasgow Live.

The online outlet has reported on their website that long-term interest has intensified at Ibrox since the arrival of Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

The Bears are looking to strengthen their defence, with John Souttar also said to be subject of serious interest.

The Scottish Sun shared a further update in the past 24 hours, with pre-contract offers set to be tabled imminently to both players.

Van Bronckhorst has been at Ibrox for a couple of months now, and this has been the real problem area at the club.

Filip Helander and Leon Balogun have had their injury issues, Jack Simpson has been deemed not good enough and Connor Goldson looks likely to leave in the summer.

Calvin Bassey has been forced into playing centrally, and despite shining in that role, reinforcements are needed.

Get it done.

Doekhi is saying all the right things regarding this potential move.

The Dutchman has already been waxing lyrical about Scottish football and the passion it comes with, so could anything stop this from happening?

As Steven Gerrard did, having Van Bronckhorst has opened up new possibilities on the transfer front, and Dutch players now have the chance to play under supposedly one of their heroes.

If Doekhi is keen on a move to Govan as reported, a suitable financial package along with the chance to win regular silverware and play in the Champions League should be enough to get this one done.

We could expect movement very soon on this one.
