Rangers make big decision on Conor Goldson Ibrox future
Rangers have made the huge decision that they won’t sell defender Conor Goldson in the January transfer window.
According to reports from the Daily Record, the Gers are preparing to offer the 29-year-old a new deal at Ibrox.
Goldson has a contract at the club till the end of the season. The Gers are prepared to lose him for free if he doesn’t agree to a new deal with the board “relaxed” about the situation.

Massive transfer decision
It’s a massive transfer decision from the Gers.
The “magnificent” defender is a key player for Giovanni van Bronckhorst and the Dutchman is reluctant to lose him in January.
Rangers paid around £3 million (ibid) for his signature, and the club feel he is worth every penny. He has been a terrific servant for the club, and there’s no need to cash in on him this month.

It can be a masterstroke decision. Rangers have a great chance of winning back-to-back league titles, and Goldson is expected to play a key role in that.
There’s no point selling him now when there’s no guarantee that Rangers can recoup the money, they spent on him.
Rangers have made several attempts to negotiate a deal with him, but with no positive result.
He is free to sign a pre-contract elsewhere as he enters the final six months of his deal, but the Ibrox hierarchy knows what they are doing.
In other Rangers news, a journalist has suggested the Gers should swoop to sign this “terrific” winger in January.
