Cedric Itten issues verdict on Rangers future amid abject form at Greuther Furth
Cedric Itten claims that he does not know what the future holds for him at Rangers amid a torrid loan spell at German side Greuther Furth.
The 25-year-old has scored just twice in 12 Bundesliga games for his team who find themselves at the foot of the table.
This is in stark contrast to last season where he was at a club that led the standings and eventually ended up winning the league.

Discussing his Ibrox future and the difference of playing for the German side, he said, via Football Scotland, “Last year at Rangers we won practically every match. Suddenly things are going in the other direction.
“You have to digest that first, it’s not easy to accept and it has been a difficult situation. But I’ve always been a fighter by nature in my life, that’s my thing.
“I had a serious knee injury when I was at St Gallen when I tore a ligament and people said I was finished.
“So although the situation is far from ideal, I’m not giving up and we will continue to fight for the remainder of the season and see what happens.”
Must be sold
Itten had glimpses of good performances last season and he was loaned out this term to prove his worth.
However, after an abject goal-scoring return, few at Rangers will be impressed by what they’ve seen from him.

He has not kicked on and taken his game to the next level as many at the club thought that he would.
Once he’s back from his loan spell at the end of the season, there’s a good chance that he might be sold.
His contract expires in 2024 so there will still be a good two years on his deal which could see Gers demand a higher transfer fee.
Whether or not any club is willing to pay that, remains to be seen, but his days at Ibrox do seem remembered currently.
