Josh McPake set for Rangers loan exit to Tranmere in January
Rangers youngster Josh McPake is set to join Tranmere on loan in the January transfer window, according to reports from the Scottish Sun.
The 20-year-old has been targeted by a host of English clubs. He spent the first half of the season at Morecambe.
Tranmere boss Micky Mellon is confident that a deal can be sorted for the Scotland U-21 next month.

Good move?
McPake struggled for regular game time at Morecambe. He struggled with injuries and Rangers decided to terminate the loan deal.
He has made just three starts in his loan spell at Morecambe.
The Daily Record reported earlier this week (20 December) that Carlisle United were confident of sealing a deal for the youngster.

The report claimed that the likes of Bradford, Oldham, Salford, Barrow and Tranmere are also vying for his signature.
However, the Prenton Park boss is reported to have won the race.
A loan move for him at this stage would be perfect for his development. He needs regular minutes at this stage.
Ideally, a move to any Scottish Premiership club would have been ideal, but it seems he will have to prove himself once again at lower leagues.
Tranmere are looking to make a push for a play-off spot in League Two.
It remains to be seen whether Tranmere can agree a deal for him in the coming days, but he will be a solid addition for them.
