Explosive 24 hours in SPFL leads to fixture chaos for Rangers and rivals
An explosive 24 hours in Scottish Football has plunged Rangers and their rivals into “chaos” trying to rearrange fixtures.
That’s according to the Daily Record who reports that clubs voting to bring the winter break forward has caused madness.
Rangers were one of the few to go against the proposal but looked to have been outvoted in the end with the break set to start immediately after Boxing Day.

Writing in their latest report, the Daily Record delivered an insight into the major developments over the past 24 hours.
“The SPFL have announced they will bring this season’s winter break forward as the Scottish top-flight goes into cold storage after Boxing Day,” they wrote.
“The move follows an explosive 24 hours after the Scottish Government announced on Tuesday that a cap of 500 would be placed on attendances from Boxing Day, regardless of stadium size.
“That plunged the fixture list into chaos, with a host of derby matches to be played on January 2 and 3.”

Changes.
This is something we are all going to have to get used to sooner rather than later, but this appears to benefit many rather than us.
Celtic have pushed the hardest for this to happen, regardless of the chaos it could cause, but we finally saw why given their drab 0-0 draw with COVID-hit St Mirren last night.
With six points now the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership, there is a chance to make that nine before what would have been a couple of games against Aberdeen and Celtic.
Adaptation is key here, though and the Bears must make sure not to take their eye off the prize on Sunday, going into this break with a huge win against the same St Mirren at Ibrox.
