Ally McCoist in hysterics as Celtic drop points in Rangers title race

Ally McCoist has destroyed the SFA for effectively trying to put the title out of Rangers’ hands and into Celtic’s grasp.

The winter break was brought forward after the Boxing Day games, meaning the Old Firm will now be rescheduled.

McCoist was in good spirits though, as our fierce rivals couldn’t even get past a COVID-smashed St Mirren on Wednesday evening.

Speaking live on talkSPORT this morning, McCoist couldn’t help himself after developments in the past 24 hours.

“There’s some breaking news – no, seriously,” he joked. “Three of the St Mirren players this morning have tested positive for Calpol.

“I think the SFA and the league have just put it in Celtic’s hands, Al.

“Effectively I think you’ve just to let us know when you fancy playing it and we’ll come along, I think that’s what’s happened.”

Shocker.

It speaks volumes that Rangers were one of the only ones who were looking to reject the winter break proposal.

All of these clubs are using the lack of fans as their reason, but do they think that full attendances will return after this break? No chance.

There will still be huge restrictions based on what Nicola Sturgeon has said, so this will make no real difference.

One change that it will make is that Celtic will likely get their injured players back available whereas our Nigerian trio including Joe Aribo won’t be available anymore.

McCoist is right though, there is only one team getting on with it and that is the Bears – tell us where we’re playing and when, we’ll come and take those points.
