Simon Jordan destroys Rangers v Celtic development, takes aim at the government for capping fans

Simon Jordan has been left raging at the decision to reduce attendances to 500 fans in Scotland as Rangers prepare to take on Celtic.

The latest instalment of the Old Firm isn’t set until the 2nd of January but will be played under reduced capacity after Nicola Sturgeon and the government confirmed the new rules.

Jordan labelled the decision a “bloody tragedy” and insisted that it was an overreaction to make the call and ruin the spectacle.

Jim White posed the question on talkSPORT regarding the upcoming Old Firm game at the start of January after plans were set in place.

“The game we were talking about in Scotland, Simon…” he said about the Old Firm.

Jordan couldn’t believe the developments and took aim at Nicola Sturgeon and the government for the decision.

“Celtic have lost all the advantage. I mean it’s a bloody tragedy that we find ourselves in this position and I think it’s an overreaction from the government.”

Embarrassing.

We still can’t believe that this decision has been taken but yet there are no real restrictions regarding other commercial areas.

Football fans will be outside and making masks a compulsory thing at stadiums could have helped massively before the winter break.

Having said that, there is only one game at Ibrox between now and the winter break and Celtic weren’t even allowing any away fans at Parkhead for the game.

Now, the decision from Sturgeon has led to clubs calling for the winter break to be brought forward, something that can’t be allowed to happen.

Jordan does talk about Celtic losing an advantage, but at the end of the day, it is still 22 players on the pitch and if they can’t get up for an Old Firm, one of the biggest rivalries in the world, that’s their problem.
