Reliable journalist tips Ryan Kent to leave Rangers for Aston Villa move
Steven Gerrard and Aston Villa are keeping their cards close to their chest ahead of potential moves for Rangers players such as Ryan Kent in January.
That’s according to Birmingham Mail reporter Ashley Preece, who insists that nothing has come out regarding agent talks ahead of the window.
Preece insisted that Gerrard “loves” Kent and admitted that you could see him arrive at Villa Park next month.

Writing for the Birmingham Mail on Wednesday, Preece shared the latest on Kent ahead of the window opening.
“In terms of Ryan Kent, Gerrard loves him,” he wrote. “We all know that given their success together at Ibrox. He was Rangers’ standout player and that’s going to be an obvious link. We’ll have to see with that one.
“Whether Kent comes in to play in one of Villa’s No.10 positions, we’ll see. Gerrard’s keeping his cards close to his chest at the moment and there’s nothing coming out in terms of agents speaking or anything with regards to Villa’s transfer plans for January.
“El Ghazi out and Kent in, you could see that.”

Stop.
This is one of those stories that were always going to come out once Gerrard packed his bags and left to join Aston Villa.
We have already seen this with Glen Kamara and Connor Goldson too, with it being the easiest transfer link to make in football right now.
If anything the arrival of Giovanni van Bronckhorst has helped Kent progress even further in his career at Ibrox.
Being told to stay out wide in a slight system change has led to him consistently having the chance to isolate his full-back rather than dropping back to the halfway line and having all of the pressure on him to create something.
This isn’t the last we have heard of this between now and the end of January, and hopefully, the issue can be put to bed sooner rather than later.
