Jim White calls for Rangers and Celtic to resolve fan allocation disputes, Simon Jordan agrees

Jim White has called on Rangers and Celtic to resolve their fan allocation disputes to allow away fans at upcoming Old Firm fixtures.

As things stand, no travelling Bears will be allowed in Parkhead after our fierce rivals were blocked from Ibrox in the last fixture [Scottish Sun].

Simon Jordan agreed with White as the talkSPORT host was left raging at the developments ahead of the next Old Firm.

Speaking live on talkSPORT on Monday (20th December), White urged for the Old Firm clubs to resolve the matter surrounding fans.

“January the 2nd,” he said. “For God’s sake.

“Change this policy, Celtic let some Rangers fans in, and then when Celtic come across the city to play Rangers at Ibrox – Rangers let some Celtic fans in.

“It’s surely what the fixture is all about – so just do it.”

Jordan reacted to the passionate rant by agreeing and calling for the change to be made sooner rather than later.

“Absolutely.”

Get it sorted.

We all love the Old Firm games, and the truth is, they are so much better with away fans in attendance too.

As well as the tasty challenges flying in on the pitch, the fans make this game everything it is with their celebrations, anger and simple back and forth throughout.

Talks need to be held in the build-up to this one on the 2nd of January, and hopefully, some kind of resolution can be found so some Bears can be in Parkhead.

Having said all of this, COVID-19 and the Omicron variant is threatening to halt football yet again as we head towards the New Year, so fingers crossed that is controlled first.
