Controversial BBC journalist Tom English aims jibe at Rangers and Celtic after Thursday moment

Tom English has once again taken aim at Rangers in a strange Tweet after watching the English Premier League this week.

In what we can assume is a dig at the officiating, Mike Dean appeared to walk in front of a Trent Alexander-Arnold thunderbolt for Liverpool against Newcastle.

The controversial BBC journalist shared the clip, urging his followers to imagine if it happened against the Old Firm clubs.

Rangers

Writing on his personal Twitter account, English appeared to bring the Old Firm into the conversation for no apparent reason.

“If this happened in Scotland and the goal was against Celtic or Rangers,” he wrote.

What?

English simply can’t help himself, can he?

When will these people learn that they aren’t doing themselves any favours by consistently digging out the likes of Rangers on social media?

Chris Sutton is in the exact same category, yet both have the nerve to complain when they aren’t allowed inside Ibrox for huge occasions and matchdays.

English is assuming that there would be an outcry should officiating such as the one on show from Dean happened against the Old Firm teams, but in what way did he get to that conclusion?

It’s a shocker, we can all see that – but it has nothing to do with the Bears.

All we can say is that it’s another shameless plug to get the likes of Rangers and Celtic on his Twitter to draw yet more attention to himself – it isn’t a surprise when we see things like this anymore.
