Rangers ready to sell Ianis Hagi for ‘serious’ windfall – report

Rangers are ready to sell attacking star Ianis Hagi in the imminent future, according to En Son Haber.

The Turkish outlet has insisted that the Bears are set for “serious” windfall should they move on the Romanian international.

With January quickly approaching, it is unclear whether or not an exit from Ibrox looks set in that window.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has had a good amount of time to analyse his squad since replacing Steven Gerrard, and he has done a brilliant job.

The Dutchman has relatively kept the same starting XI with small tweaks during his first couple of months.

Household names such as Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos and Connor Goldson have started most games – unlike some.

Hagi is in the category where he has often been swapped around with the likes of Scott Wright and Fashion Sakala on the right.

Struggled?

Hagi was on fire last season, as he smashed home six goals and added nine assists in the Scottish Premiership.

That hasn’t happened this season, with his 12 starts in the league only leading to one goal, with zero assists so far [WhoScored].

With Van Bronckhorst implementing his new style on the side, could Hagi be one of those players who simply become surplus to requirements?

We love the Romanian for the memories he has given us, especially that Europa League win over Braga at Ibrox, but if a “serious” windfall is thrown our way, it may be hard to turn down.

This is one to think about, but if we can sell Hagi and then bring in a couple of fresh faces, it may well be worth doing to strengthen this team even further.
