BBC man Tam Cowan sends huge January warning to Rangers with Steven Gerrard waiting to pounce

Tam Cowan has sent a huge transfer warning to Rangers ahead of January with Steven Gerrard ready to pounce.

The BBC journalist insisted that Aston Villa could be set to throw money at the Bears to sign the likes of Joe Aribo over the winter window.

Cowan believes that Gerrard’s name is now non-existent in Glasgow, but he will be back on everyone’s lips should he make moves.

Speaking on PLZ Soccer, BBC man Cowan sent the major warning to Bears fans at Ibrox ahead of next month.

“As much as we’re saying that the Rangers aren’t even mentioning the name Steven Gerrard just now,” he said.

“They might be mentioning him soon when that transfer window opens, because, you do wonder, will he decide on anything up the road – Aribo perhaps being one of them.”

One to watch.

This is the easiest link to make for anyone, but it wouldn’t be unrealistic to imagine Gerrard wanting some of his older players.

Aribo is currently the best performer in Scotland with ease, and the Nigerian will be tracked by numerous Premier League clubs.

Gerrard knows every last player at Ibrox and everything they can do, so they would adjust quicker than anyone at Villa Park, so it would be no surprise to see that happen.

Having said that, the Bears are in the driving seat and can demand any amount of cash, and it would likely take over £10million for Aribo.

There is no chance of this happening, at least that is what we’re telling ourselves heading into next month.
