Giovanni van Bronckhorst willing to cut Glen Kamara slack after off-night in Rangers win v St Johnstone
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is willing to cut Rangers star Glen Kamara some slack after the 2-0 win over St Johnstone on Wednesday.
The Bears’ boss was unhappy with the midfielder, insisting that he gave the ball away far too many times at Ibrox.
Andrew Newport insisted that Kamara will be given the benefit of the doubt given his world-class consistency.

Writing for the Daily Record, Newport shared the latest as the midfielder for singled out for a poor display.
“Van Bronckhorst wasn’t quite so fulsome with his praise as he assessed the performance of Aribo’s midfield partner Glen Kamara,” he wrote.
“It was a rare off night for the Finland ace but his manager is willing to cut him some slack after his team completed their fifth shut-out of his short Ibrox tenure.”

Must improve?
Everyone has off nights, this one is just such a surprise as Kamara never seems to be one of those who do.
The Finland star is simply irreplaceable in midfield, but he gave possession away far too many times – something that Van Bronckhorst admitted he told him about in the dressing room after the win.
Despite that, we have no doubts in our minds that he will continue to start in the heart of midfield alongside Joe Aribo, with those two essential in the middle of the park.
The third man in there is who will consistently rotate, showing just how important Kamara really is to Van Bronckhorst’s style.
Long may it continue, with the midfield maestro possibly given a rocket to become even better in the weeks and months to come – imagine that.
