Heart and Hand respond on Twitter as Dave King plots sensational Rangers return

Heart and Hand have labelled Dave King plotting a sensational return to Rangers this week as “odd” after the news broke.

The former chairman is still a majority shareholder at Ibrox, but is now plotting to return to the boardroom.

King stepped down as chairman back in 2020 but is now looking to aid development at the club despite looking to sell his shares previously.

Writing on their official Twitter account this morning, the club partner responded to the move plotted by King this week.

“Wee bit odd given he wants to sell his shares?” they wrote.

“Not quite sure what to make of it really.”

Interesting.

It is always strange to see such a change in mindset in a short period of time, especially from a former chairman.

Only months ago, King promised to sell his shares to Club 1872 and it is uncertain whether this move is a u-turn on that promise.

Could it be useful, though?

King helped start this journey back to greatness in Glasgow, with his decision to hire Steven Gerrard perfect at the time.

With progression in the Europa League securing another windfall, the losses that were posted have already been chipped away at.

That is the only slight negative regarding things at Ibrox right now, so there aren’t desperate needs for King to return at this moment.

It is odd, and possibly King is regretting his exit last year and wants another shot in the boardroom as we look for more success under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
