Ryan Jack ruled out for Rangers v Hearts on Sunday

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has confirmed his Rangers team news for the Scottish Premiership clash with Hearts on Sunday.

Ryan Jack missed out in the 1-1 draw against Lyon last night and will continue to remain sidelined over the weekend.

It has been an injury-plagued year yet again for the midfielder, who picked up another issue in training before the trip to France.

Sharing on their official Twitter account this afternoon, it was confirmed that the Bears will be without Jack yet again.

“Ryan (Jack) had a problem in the final training session before Lyon,” they shared.

“Hopefully, he will join up with us soon but will miss out on Sunday.”

Getting worst.

Jack obviously can’t help this, but he appears to be getting more unreliable the later his career goes on at Ibrox.

The Scottish international simply isn’t cut out to be a consistent option under Van Bronckhorst, and a decision may have to be made on his future sooner rather than later.

After being nursed back to fitness in recent weeks, you can’t even accuse the club of pushing him too hard and causing this new problem.

It is getting more frustrating with each new blow, and Jack will surely be sharing those frustrations.

John Lundstram impressed against Lyon last night, and he has filled the hole in midfield perfectly that has been left by Jack in recent seasons.

Squad depth is not really an issue at Ibrox, thankfully, and there are more than enough options to move forward.
