GvB: Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has picked up an injury
Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has picked up yet another injury, as confirmed by Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
The former Aberdeen midfielder has struggled with injuries in the past 12 months and has managed only 55 minutes of football since February.
Van Bronckhorst has revealed that he wanted to give some minutes to Jack against Lyon, but he was absent due to an injury sustained in training.

“No, Ryan wasn’t available. He was one of the players I had in mind to give minutes,” said Van Bronckhorst to BT Sport, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“But he had a slight setback in his recovery. He played 20, 25 minutes the last game we played so that was good to get him minutes.
“Today he isn’t ready because of a slight injury he had in training.”
Blow
The 29-year-old has been working on his fitness since picking up a horrific injury against Dundee United last season.
The Ibrox boss made six changes to the side for the dead-rubber tie against the French outfit. Rangers managed a 1-1 draw away from home.
The Gers are already through to the play-off round, while Lyon has been confirmed as group winners.

Jack made his return to action in November during Rangers’ 4-2 win over Ross County.
The “outstanding” midfielder underwent surgery near the end of last season and missed Scotland’s Euro 2020 campaign.
Rangers have been very patient with his recovery and the Gers fans welcomed him with a noisy reception against Ross County.
However, it seems, he has picked up yet another injury in training and he could be out for a while.
Van Bronckhorst said that it was a “slight” injury, so hopefully, he will recover quickly and return to action at the earliest.
