Darrell Currie moots big Rangers windfall v Lyon, Ally McCoist reacts
Darrell Currie has shared that Rangers will earn £500,000 should they beat Lyon in the Europa League this evening.
Despite already having qualified for the knockout stages past the group phase, there is still plenty riding on this game.
Ally McCoist reacted to the news live on BT Sports, and insisted that Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be desperate to just keep his perfect start intact.

Speaking on BT Sports this evening (9th December) ahead of kick-off, Currie shared big incentives for the boys.
“Other incentives here Ally,” he said. “Prize money – half a million pounds if they win here tonight.
McCoist reacted to that news and confirmed that it was a massive night for the Bears across the channel in France.
“Absolutely, there’s a lot to play for tonight. Plus, the fact that Giovanni will want to keep the run going so a very, very important game for Rangers.”

Bring it home.
There has been a lot of talk regarding the finances of the club this season after posting losses, as many clubs have.
Van Bronckhorst will only care about the result and performance of his side though, in what promises to be another huge test.
Having lost the reverse fixture under Steven Gerrard, this could be a good test to see how far we have come since his exit.
The counterargument to that would be that many changes have been made by both with them both being qualified already.
We want to win every game, and with half a million pounds on the line, it is time to pick up yet another memorable win in Lyon.
