Charlie Adam reveals if he’ll celebrate v Rangers

Rangers will take on Dundee in the Scottish Premiership clash on Saturday at Ibrox as Giovanni van Bronckhorst looks to continue his perfect start.

Ahead of the game, Charlie Adam has suggested that he will celebrate his goal if he finds the net against the Gers.

The Dundee midfielder started his playing career with Rangers, and he wants to relish the moment if he scores at Ibrox.

“Absolutely. You score and you celebrate,” said Adam to the Scotsman.

“You enjoy it. These moments don’t happen very often, I keep saying it. You don’t know when they might happen again. I am not going to go crazy if I score, but I will celebrate.

“Anyway, Rangers won’t be worried about what Charlie Adam does, they will be more worried about the mentality of their players.”

Dundee threat?

Dundee are heading into this match on the back of two straight wins.

However, Adam will know very well that if Rangers pick up a gear or two, they will be almost unbeatable.

Dundee have conceded four goals in each of their last four visits to Ibrox, but those were without the former Liverpool midfielder.

Rangers

The visitors on Saturday are enjoying a mid-season revival, but it will be a difficult task for them to get a win against Rangers.

The Gers have made a strong start under Giovanni van Bronckhorst, winning three games in a row in all competitions.

They are heading into this game on the back of a 1-0 win against Hibernian, and the Dutchman will be looking to keep the winning momentum going.

Players often tend not to celebrate if they score against their former club out of respect. However, Adam clearly has a different view.

It’s true that you don’t get regular chances to score at Ibrox, and it is a special moment for any player. To be fair, Rangers probably won’t be bothered about what Adam does as long as they pick all three points from the game.
