Rangers could be on the verge of losing star defender Connor Goldson after the latest update on his Ibrox future.

Football Insider have reported that the 28-year-old has rejected a new contract at the club with ihs current deal running out at the end of the season.

It is suggested that Goldson is now eyeing a return to the Premier League after his success in the Scottish Premiership.

Goldson has been everpresent this season, and losing him would be a big blow given our limited options at the back.

Leon Balogun, Filip Helander and Nikola Katic have all had their major injury problems throughout their time at the club, and Jack Simpson hasn’t proved himself to be reliable.

Calvin Bassey has filled in perfectly since the arrival of Giovanni van Bronckhorst in the past three games.

Having said that, surely another one or two new central defenders will be needed in the upcoming transfer windows.

We asked our esteemed panel of Rangers Super Fans if they would be too concerned with a potential exit, and the response was overwhelmed.

The majority all insisted that it is time for Goldson to leave Ibrox, and they will be happy to see him leave either in January or the summer.

Here’s what they said below…
