Heart and Hand respond to claims Connor Goldson has rejected new Rangers contract

Heart and Hand have hit back at reports that Connor Goldson has rejected a new contract at Rangers this week.

Reports in the media suggest that the 28-year-old had turned down a new deal with a return to the Premier League on his mind.

The club have hit back emphatically at those claims, insisting that there has been no movement either way at Ibrox as things stand.

Writing on their official Twitter account, the official club partner responded to claims in the media this week.

“Goldson hasn’t ‘rejected’ a new contract,” they wrote.

“There’s been no movement either way. Club confirm situation unchanged and reports suggesting anything else are wide of the mark.”

Nonsense.

It appears that no progress has been made whatsoever, which surprisingly makes this even worst in our eyes.

Goldson is dragging this along, which means that he isn’t set on staying at Ibrox, but he is wanting to consider his options before confirming his decision.

The 28-year-old is not giving an answer, and that is really risking the Bears losing one of their ever-present stars for no money at all.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst doesn’t have long to evaluate his squad before the January window, but he will have a good idea.

Could the Dutchman arriving convince Goldson to stay? Winning the title would bring Champions League football back to Ibrox and that is something he would likely throw away to join a Premier League side in mid-table.
