Kris Boyd trolls Ryan Porteous after Rangers 1-0 win v Hibernian

Kris Boyd has aimed a jibe at Ryan Porteous over his ‘do we look happy’ comments after Rangers won 1-0 against Hibernian on Wednesday in the Scottish Premiership clash.

The Hibs defender trolled formed Gers boss Steven Gerrard after they had won the Scottish League Cup semi-final clash at Hampden last month.

The 22-year-old mimicked Gerrard’s quote after the game, and now Boyd has aimed a similar response to him while discussing the penalty.

The Rangers hero told Sky Sports (via Football Scotland):

“We spoke about it earlier in the show that if Ryan Kent faces you up he can go either way.

“When you’re right in front of the referee you give him that opportunity to make a decision. When you look at Porteous there, he doesn’t look happy.

“There’s enough for me. It’s in the soft category but there’s enough and there you go, he definitely doesn’t look happy with that one.”

Major decision

Rangers were sluggish during the game at Easter Road but they did just enough to clinch an important win.

Ryan Kent was brought down late in the game by Porteous and it was a stonewall penalty.

In the 85th minute, Kemar Roofe scored the winner to seal all three points for the Gers.

It was a frustrating night for the young centre-back, and Boyd didn’t miss the chance to tease him.

Hibs played really well to keep the Champions under control, although Alfredo Morelos missed a glorious chance to put the visitors away.

Just when it seemed like Rangers may have to settle for a draw, Kent came up with a moment of brilliance and earned a penalty for his side.

The Ibrox outfit have now picked up three wins in a row under Giovanni van Bronckhorst in all competitions.

It wasn’t a spectacular performance, but Rangers have done well to grind out a crucial victory. They have now gone seven points clear at the top of the SPFL table.

In other Rangers news, Andy Walker and Ian Crocker are disgusted by what Gers and Hibs fans did on Wednesday night.
