Kris Boyd stunned by ‘unbelievable’ Scott Arfield as Rangers win v Livingston
Kris Boyd was raving about Scott Arfield on Sunday after the Rangers midfielder opened the scoring against Livingston at the Tony Macaroni.
Arfield, 33, netted his second goal in the space of a week with a sublime finish to beat Max Stryjek in the Livi goal after eight minutes.
Ex-Gers striker Boyd was floored by the technique shown by the marauding midfielder when he scored.

“You can see Arfield there taking off with no one marking him,” said Boyd at half-time on Sky Sports Football on Sunday.
“I think that sometimes happens when you have so many bodies behind the ball but I must say, the pass is fantastic, the touch is better and the finish is even better.
“It’s an unbelievable finish over from Arfield’s point of view. The awareness there, the first touch sets it up perfectly and as I was saying, it was a great pass from Tavernier.
“His first touch, his awareness of where he is on the pitch, where the goalkeeper is and he just lifts it over him. It’s a fantastic goal.”

Brilliant Arfield
If there’s one player who’s taken us by surprise when he’s played this season, it’s Arfield.
The former Burnley player was hardly a star of last season when we won the Premiership title without suffering a defeat.
However, in the last week he’s shown with his goals against Hibernian and Livingston that he can be a threat from the midfield and offer some much-needed goalscoring support to the front line.
Arfield often gets forward out of the midfield without being picked up by opposition defenders.
They’re so busy trying to contain Joe Aribo, Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and Ianis Hagi that they forget about how good a goalscorer Arfield can be when he gets the chances.
It remains to be seen how the season will pan out for the Canadian but his contract expires in the summer and he’ll no doubt be desperate to try and get an extension.
