Dave Vos leaves Ajax to join Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Rangers
Rangers have secured yet another highly-rated coach with Dave Vos joining the club with immediate effect on Thursday.
That’s according to De Telegraaf, who shared that the academy coach at Ajax has decided to turn his back on the Dutch club.
It is reported that Vos will now become another assistant to Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who is slowly putting together a brilliant team at Ibrox.
Vos was working with the under-18s at Ajax, but it looks as though he will be with the first team at Auchenhowie.
The trainer is said to have told his players that he will be leaving for Scotland after their win against Besiktas on Wednesday.
Ajax are known for their world-famous academy and constant product line of players coming through, so this is another exciting development for the Bears.
Their under-19’s beat Besiktas 1-0 in the UEFA Youth League last night, and it looks as though Vos will leave with a bang.
Brilliant.
Based on the reaction of those closely linked with Ajax, this appears to be a real coup for the Bears moving forward.
Ajax Youth Academy on Twitter has insisted that Vos leaving is a “huge blow” for the club as he starts his new venture in Scotland.
With Zeb Jacobs also said to be joining in January from Royal Antwerp, it looks as though van Bronckhorst is set to finalise his team in the near future.
Vos’ arrival is certainly an exciting one for those in the ‘B’ team with opportunities set to arise for those who prove they are good enough.
The Dutchman looks to be joining up with the Bears as soon as possible given his farewell yesterday, we look forward to it.
