Barry Ferguson fumes at Rangers defeat v Hibernian

Barry Ferguson was left raging at Rangers after their 3-1 defeat against Hibernian on Sunday afternoon.

The Bears were dominated at Hampden Park in their cup semi-final as new boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst watched on.

Ferguson insisted that he couldn’t believe what he was watching as the opposition wanted it more than the Gers.

Speaking on Go Radio on Monday evening, Ferguson couldn’t believe what he was watching on Sunday afternoon.

“I expected Rangers to win that,” he said.

“I expected Rangers to steamroller Hibs and that’s why I’m about frustrated, angry, surprised whatever you want to call it.

“Rangers Football Club at Hampden, semi-final, you should be making sure you’re getting to the final against Celtic. Rangers were second best.”

There is nowhere to hide right now at Ibrox.

Van Bronckhorst faced the media for the first time this afternoon, and he admitted he was unhappy with what he saw and promised changes.

They are clearly needed but it starts with the players who clearly need to look at themselves in the mirror ahead of another huge game.

If the Bears come out similarly against Sparta Prague on Thursday evening, they will lose again and that is unacceptable.

Ferguson is feeling how everyone else is feeling at Ibrox right now, and there are no excuses for not showing up on the biggest stage.

Change is not expected now, it is demanded and that is everything we expect on Thursday and we cross our fingers for a completely different outcome.
