Heart & Hand share if major Rangers changes expected v Hibs after GvB arrival SAT

Heart and Hand are not expecting major Rangers changes this weekend for the semi-final clash against Hibernian on Sunday.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst was appointed as the new manager on Thursday, but won’t be in the dugout at Hampden Park.

The makeshift management team with the likes of Jermain Defoe and David McCallum will be in charge after taking training all week.

Official media partners of the club, Heart and Hand, have shared that little-to-no changes are expected to be made on Sunday.

“There’s been no press conference at the time of recording so there’s little to no information really about fitness or injury issues,” they said.

“From a personal point of view, I can’t see many changes here. This isn’t the case of someone auditioning for the job and trying to make a name for themselves.”

No changes?

It wouldn’t make much sense for the makeshift management team to make drastic changes, with the win the only thing that matters.

With van Bronckhorst arriving in Glasgow yesterday, it will be interesting to see if he has had any input from the coaches.

The Dutchman will want to learn about all of his players, but will only get to see 75% of them on Sunday afternoon.

On such a big occasion, our most experienced players will need to step forward to help deal with this transitional period during our most important week of the year.

Alan McGregor, James Tavernier, Conor Goldson and Steven Davis will be at the heart of the side, surely, and that is smart.

Time to get the win and catapult us into the van Bronckhorst era perfectly.
