Jordan Campbell: More staff expected to follow GvB to Rangers after three confirmed

Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Rangers have been working hard on his backroom staff after he was confirmed as the new boss last night.

Roy Makaay, Arno Phillips and Yori Bosschaert are expected through the doors at Ibrox to start this new era at the club.

Reliable journalist Jordan Campbell has shared that more staff are expected to sign on the dotted line to work alongside van Bronckhorst.

Writing for The Athletic in the past 24 hours, Campbell expected more staff to be coming at Ibrox over the next week.

“Van Bronckhorst will be bringing Roy Makaay as first-team coach, Arno Phillips (physio with the Netherlands but former physical coach at Feyenoord) & Yori Bosschaart, who was his main video analyst at both Feyenoord and Shanghai,” he wrote.

“Understood there will be more staff to come.”

More to come.

So then, it looks as though more staff are coming.

We were already excited enough by the news that Makaay would be swapping Holland for Ibrox, but could even bigger names be set to arrive?

The Van Bronckhorst era is well and truly starting with a bang, but could this spell the end for some at the club?

Jermain Defoe is one who will be looking over his shoulder, after suggestions he could be frozen out as his contract runs out this season.

With more names expected through the doors, it looks unlikely that he will be in Glasgow past this season as we start the Oranje era.
