Ally McCoist not happy with GvB decision to stay in stands for Rangers v Hibs
Ally McCoist has been left disappointed with new Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s decision to stay in the stands against Hibs this weekend.
The Dutchman will be at Hampden Park watching from the stands with Roy Makaay, with the makeshift coaching team taking charge.
McCoist insisted it was “strange” and that the sooner he got stuck in, the better it would be for everyone at Ibrox.

Speaking on BT Sports‘ Scottish Football Extra, McCoist was unhappy with his decision not to be in the dugout against Hibs.
I’m a little disappointed he’s not in the dugout for Sunday, I would have liked that – just to get going right away, the sooner you get your boots on and behind the desk, the better for everyone – listen, it’s his decision
“It’s a little strange.”

Strange?
It makes complete sense.
Rangers are preparing for a huge game against Hibs as they look to add more domestic silverware to the league title from last season.
Van Bronckhorst has only just arrived in Glasgow today and won’t be taking a training session until Tuesday, so why would be in the dugout on Sunday?
Half of the new boss’ team won’t have arrived yet, and it is better to leave it to the likes of Jermain Defoe and David McCallum.
McCoist does want van Bronckhorst to get his feet under the table and off to the perfect start at Hampden Park, but he’ll have to wait until Thursday in the Europa League against Sparta Prague.
