Rangers look set to appoint their new manager on Monday to replace the outgoing Steven Gerrard.
The Daily Record has shared the latest major update with Giovanni van Bronckhorst said to be waiting by the phone.
The Dutchman looks to be the clear favourite for the Ibrox role after positive talks over the weekend in London.
Ross Wilson is spearheading the new appointment, and with two crunch games against Hibernian and Sparta Prague around the corner, it will need to be done quickly.
Writing on their personal Twitter account to introduce their live blog, the Daily Record shared that it looks as though only one man is in the running.

Van Bronckhorst was pictured coming into London and even leaving after he held his talks and a presentation for Rangers board members.
The representatives of the Dutchman even shared the talks ended really positive, leading to the conclusion there is surely only one outcome.
Wilson will be putting everything in place and confirming the fine details today before Van Bronckhorst surely jets into Glasgow to formalise things and put pen-to-paper on his contract.
This would be a brilliant appointment, and even better than Gerrard before he arrived at Ibrox over three years ago.
Van Bronckhorst knows the club inside and out given his spell in Scotland and will be bringing along with him plenty of former teammates too.
