Rangers join the race to sign Newcastle United talent Joe White
Rangers have joined a host of clubs to show interest in Newcastle United’s young midfielder Joe White.
According to reports from The Chronicle, the Gers could face competition from Scottish Premiership rivals Celtic.
Several Premier League, Bundesliga and Eredivisie clubs are also looking to sign him in a potential bargain deal.

The 19-year-old is out of contract in the summer, and there’s no indication that he will pen a new deal at the Tyneside side club.
He is free to talk to clubs outside of England from the New Year, and Rangers have a good chance here to sign him up.
Bargain
Alternatively, Rangers can sign him in the summer by paying a minimal compensation fee.
The youngster has progressed through the youth ranks at the club and signed his professional contract at the age of 17.
Leeds made an approach last summer when Mike Ashley was in charge. The move was immediately rejected. However, a move away from St James’ Park looks more likely now.
He has been the stand-out player for the club’s U-23 side this season and even made the matchday squad in the 4-1 defeat against Manchester United.
White is a highly-rated young talent and would be a brilliant signing for the Bears and their long-term plans.

With the futures of Glen Kamara and Ryan Kent in doubt following Steven Gerrard’s departure and Rangers’ financial plight, the Gers should look to sign young talents like White to bolster the squad.
Rangers can lure him with the offer of first-team opportunities and European football, something he may find hard to turn down.
