Gennaro Gattuso in talks with Jorge Mendes, wants Rangers job
Gennaro Gattuso wants to take charge of Rangers and replace Steven Gerrard after his move to Aston Villa.
That’s according to the Daily Record, who report that the Italian is ready to move back to Scotland this year after spells with Fiorentina.
Gattuso is said to already be in talks with super-agent Jorge Mendes as he looks to return to Ibrox after a spell there in his playing career.

The Italian legend has been out of work since his role at Napoli, where he was in charge in the Champions League alongside the Serie A.
In between that and links to Ibrox, Gattuso has also been linked with Spurs in the Premier League before the start of this season.
Salernitana and Spartak Moscow have tried and failed to appoint Gattuso during his spell out of the game, but this one is different.
It looks as though the available manager is working hard with Mendes to put his name in the hat, actively looking for the role.

Get it done.
Wow, this has come out of nowhere.
Gattuso was rarely mentioned at first in the immediate aftermath of Gerrard’s exit, but the Italian has certainly thrown himself into the mix now.
The Italian is just like Giovanni van Bronkhorst, a former player looking to return to Ibrox having tasted success in management after retiring.
Gattuso could be perfect, and he wouldn’t take any nonsense, surely relishing the title challenge with Celtic.
We all know how much of a mad-man he was during his playing career, and adding some of that to the squad could be perfect for these huge European nights ahead.
There will be plenty of names throwing themselves into the mix over the coming days, but it may be hard to find a bigger name than Gattuso.
