Kris Boyd destroys Rangers star, Alfredo Morelos

Kris Boyd has taken aim and destroyed Rangers attacker Alfredo Morelos for his goalscoring record this season.

The Colombian notched only his fourth of the campaign in the 2-2 draw against Aberdeen on Wednesday evening.

Boyd insisted that Morelos should feel “embarrassed” and went on to question if he even cared about his form at this moment in time.

Writing in his weekly column for The Sun, Boyd got stuck in to Morelos for his attitude this season at Ibrox.

“But if I was Alfredo Morelos right now I’d be embarrassed,” he wrote. “In fact, if I was ANY of the Rangers forwards I’d feel like that, given their lack of goals.

“Morelos is one strike better off having hit his fourth goal of the campaign against Aberdeen at Ibrox.

“I’m sorry, for a Rangers No 9 that’s just not good enough. To be around the same tally as the Celtic right-back after the first quarter of the season should have Morelos shame-faced.

“Does he care, though? Is he even bothered?”

Where is he?

We are lost for words and simply can’t believe what has happened to the likes of Morelos this season.

Where has the Bufalo gone that has that edge to his game, who wants to be better than everyone and doesn’t care who he tramples over to get what he wants for Rangers?

Morelos is different to many modern-day footballers, but he looks to be overweight, unbothered and looking for an exit in our eyes.

The striker has admitted this season that he has done everything he wanted to do in Glasgow, with one eye already on a move to the English Premier League.

That is embarrassing and nowhere near good enough.

If Morelos was smashing in double figures already, we could at-least see that he hasn’t given up and was waiting for a move, but Boyd is right, it has been nothing short of embarrassing so far from certain players.
