Jordan Campbell: Callum Davidson highly rated at Ibrox as Rangers hunt new manager
Rangers are very strong admirers of St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson after the exit of Steven Gerrard.
Jordan Campbell of The Athletic shared the news after he took home a domestic cup double during his first year in management.
It has been shared elsewhere that the Bears will be looking at more managers currently out of work, though.

Writing for The Athletic this morning, Campbell shared that the double-winning manager was admired strongly at Ibrox.
“There are not many obvious candidates close to home apart from St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson, who won a cup double with the Perth side in his debut season last year and is believed to be rated at Ibrox,” he shared.

Look elsewhere?
Davidson is doing a stunning job at St Johnstone, no one can argue with that.
Having said that, there is no chance that he is ready for the top job in Scotland and the hot seat at Ibrox.
It would also take compensation to take him away, and that is something that the board is unlikely going to want to do at this stage after our losses were announced recently.
There are most likely no better coaches currently in Scotland at winning big semi-finals at Hampden Park, but we need more than that from Davidson.
With no expectation or huge pressure on his shoulders at St Johnstone, it is easy to succeed in that environment, it is different in Glasgow.
This decision is huge and will shape our immediate future, so Ross Wilson simply has to get it right and take no real chances.
