Chris Sutton stunned by Ryan Kent return for Rangers v Brondby

Chris Sutton was stunned by the return of Rangers superstar Ryan Kent this week in the 1-1 draw against Brondby.

The winger finally returned after missing a couple of months of action at Ibrox, and made an instant impact, assisting Ianis Hagi’s goal.

Sutton insisted if he was a Rangers fan, he would be thinking of the positives with Kent’s return certainly one of them.

Speaking on BT Sports, Sutton singled out the positives rather than the negatives after that 1-1 draw.

“If I’m a Rangers fan, and I’m clearly not,” he said.

“I’m actually looking at positives, in terms of Ryan Kent back. He’s their key player, he’s the one with real top quality they have.

“Rangers to be in the position, top of the league at this stage of the season – they haven’t even got going yet in terms of this season and I think Steven Gerrard will believe that the team can give so much more.

“Ryan Kent coming back – the sharpness for the goal, the weight of pass.”

Quality.

All eyes will be on Kent, and there will be big hope that he can rejuvenate this Rangers side in the final third.

After smashing Motherwell for six last week, most thought confidence would be at an all-time high in Denmark, but the Bears struggled to get any sort of fluidity.

Steven Gerrard will certainly be considering big changes against Ross County on Sunday, starting in the final third.

Kent will be the first name to surely come in after his impact, and so may Hagi and Kemar Roofe in three big changes at Ibrox.

Something needs to change, with the likes of Alfredo Morelos simply looking like a shadow of their former selves right now.

In other Rangers news, Kris Boyd has destroyed one Bears star this week over an embarrassing stat from this season
