Confirmed Rangers starting XI v Brondby

Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for the crunch Europa League clash against Brondby this evening.

Steven Gerrard has made just the one change to his side with Borna Barisic coming back into the side after missing the big win at Motherwell

Confirmed on the official club Twitter account prior to kick-off, the Bears have dropped Calvin Bassey from that game.

Ryan Kent is back in the squad, and that is a huge boost.

The English winger has been missing for weeks and has been a major miss in the final third for most of that period.

Apart from the win in the reverse fixture with Brondby, and the 6-1 thrashing of Motherwell on Sunday afternoon – things haven’t clicked.

Thankfully, those have come in the past couple of weeks, and confidence will be soaring in the squad at Auchenhowie.

Adding Kent to that with his speed and flair will only make the Light Blues fire on all cylinders even more.

Must win.

It is critically important that we leave Denmark with all three points this evening, and if not, it has to be one point.

There is no scenario where the Bears can afford to lose in the context of the group stage, with Sparta Prague and Lyon also playing this evening.

Should the Frenchman win as expected, they will have all but won the group as things stand, which is technically better for Rangers.

The Gers will be gunning for second spot, and a win this evening means beating Sparta Prague at Ibrox will all but secure that.
