Barry Ferguson predicts the outcome between Brondby v Rangers
Barry Ferguson expects Rangers to beat Brondby in the Europa League clash on Thursday.
Rangers picked up their first win in the competition last month when they won 2-0 at Ibrox against Brondby. The Gers need another victory to keep their hopes alive of progressing through to the knock-out rounds.
Ferguson has suggested that Rangers have enough quality in the team, and he expects them to win against the Danish outfit.

The former Ibrox hero has also made a bold claim regarding Rangers’ European participation. He thinks that both Rangers and Celtic – the two premier Scottish clubs – should be playing in the Champions League group stages instead of fighting in the Europa League.
“Both Rangers and Celtic should be getting into the group stages of the Champions League,” he told GO Radio (via Football.Scotland).
“Not being disrespectful to teams like Malmo, Brondby or Ferencvaros, but Rangers and Celtic should be beating these teams. I don’t care what anybody says.
“There’s enough quality in both squads to beat these sort of teams. That’s why I fully expect both of them to go and get the three points tomorrow.”
Bold claim
Rangers won the SPFL title at a canter last season and they were miles ahead of others in Scotland. However, they just couldn’t make it to the main rounds of the Champions League, losing twice against Malmo.
Likewise, Celtic, even under Brendan Rodgers, fared poorly in European games.

This brings to an interesting debate – are Rangers really strong enough to get in the Champions League group stages? Do they have enough quality to compete against Europe’s top clubs?
This season, the Gers have struggled badly to find consistency. Ferguson is right in a way that the Scottish champions should be winning against these teams, considering the quality they possess. But probably, the squad is still not strong enough to compete with bigger boys in the Champions League.
The Gers are heading into this game on the back of a strong 6-1 win against Motherwell. Gerrard will be hoping for another solid performance from his side on Thursday.
In other Rangers news, this big-name player is set to be axed in two changes for the clash with Brondby on Thursday.
