Tam McManus thrilled by Fashion Sakala in Rangers win v Motherwell

Rangers finally returned to their dominant selves on Sunday afternoon, smashing Motherwell 6-1.

It was Fashion Sakala who grabbed all the headlines, scoring his first-ever career hat-trick in emphatic style at Fir Park.

The Bears were even more dominant after Stephen O’Donnell was sent off and Sakala was one of those to benefit from that decision.

Tam McManus was especially thrilled by the electric forward, singling him out for massive praise during the game.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, the controversial pundit was clearly blown away by what he was watching.

“Sakala been superb for Rangers,” he wrote.

Magnificent.

This is exactly what we were missing in that poor 2-2 draw against Aberdeen during midweek at Ibrox.

Sakala has that pace that no defence wants to deal with, and his runs in-between each centre-halve caused problems all afternoon at Fir Park.

His runs for the first and third goals were excellent, peeling off his man, keeping his line and finishing perfectly.

Alfredo Morelos needs to be taking notes because his performance was once again average with little chance to get his name on the scoresheet.

Sakala may be getting great service, but it is his runs that make them opportunities, and then he put them away.

Should Morelos also start finding the net this regularly, the chasing pack will surely have to wave goodbye to their own title hopes.

Long may this continue, and hopefully, we have finally rediscovered our form from the last season – it only took two months.
