Michael Stewart lashes out at Rangers fan on Twitter after apparent dig
Michael Stewart has exploded at a Rangers fan on Twitter after an innocuous tweet was seen as a dig at the Premiership leaders.
The BBC Sportscene pundit is currently on holiday in Orkney and throughout Tuesday, he’s shared a few images of places he’s visited.
He posted one tweet which shows Skaill House, saying: “So much history in Orkney. Something money simply can’t buy. Amazing place.”

One Rangers fan took offence to that tweet and replied by saying: “The actual nick of this clown. Wee dig at Rangers near every tweet.”
Stewart claims he’s sent stuff like that all the time but that tweet tipped him over the edge and led to him tweeting: “I get so much rubbish like this all the time but I’m calling this one out.
“I’m on holiday with my family on the wonderful island of Orkney.
“I’ve tweeted numerous things from places of historical significance today. IT’S GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH A FOOTBALL CLUB.”
Grow up
Stewart might be anti-Rangers and have a very clear bias against our club but why are people moaning about daft things like this?
How on earth is his tweet something to do with us?
It makes us a laughing stock on social media when certain fans try to find an issue with absolutely anything and everything said about the Scottish champions.
We’re looking at Stewart’s tweet and trying to find whatever relevance it has to the Ibrox club but there isn’t any. It’s no wonder that he’s fed up of the constant harrying by some sections of our support.
If you want to be paranoid about the tweets of someone who very much doesn’t like the same team you support then why bother interacting? Why bother getting so wound up about some random picture of a house in Orkney?
It’s weird behaviour.
In other Rangers news, Steven Gerrard’s pal has sent out a message about the speculation linking him to Newcastle.
