Rangers striker Fashion Sakala ready to make big impact after footage emerges

Rangers striker Fashion Sakala has not had the best of starts to his time at Ibrox since arriving on a free from Oostende in Belgium.

The 24-year-old has made ten appearances for the Gers in which he has scored one goal and provided zero assists.

Most of his appearances have been from the bench, suggesting that Steven Gerrard doesn’t trust him.

However, footage from Zambia’s game against Equatorial Guinea suggests that Sakala is ready to make a big impact after the international break, with the FIFA World Cup Twitter account calling his strike “fantastic”.

Sakala scored his first goal for his country in a 1-1 draw, and his goal was a brilliant individual effort.

The forward received the ball on the left and cut into the box past several players before he cleverly reversed the ball into the near corner.

This was a fine example of the pace and power that he clearly possesses, but it also showed that he has ice in his veins.

Last season, he scored 16 goals in all competitions, so he knows where the net is, and hopefully, this goal can kickstart his career in Glasgow.

However, it should be said that he missed a much easier chance in the first half after he was played through, but his movement off the ball to create that space was fantastic.

So, this was an encouraging display from Sakala, and we look forward to seeing more from him in a Rangers shirt.

He has proven what he can do with this goal, and we want to see him kick on and stamp his authority.

In other Rangers news, an international manager has sent a warning to one Gers man.
