Rangers star Fashion Sakala impresses Charlie Adam

Rangers star Fashion Sakala impressed Charlie Adam with his display i the 1-0 defeat against Sparta Prague.

Speaking on BBC Radio Scotland, the former Liverpool hailed Sakala’s pace and claimed that he provided a different option to Alfredo Morelos.

This was just the Zambian’s third start, but he is clearly impressing Adam.

He said: “Sakala’s got that turn off pace to burn away from the defender that he showed there.

“[Alfredo] Morelos probably doesn’t have that. It can give you a different dimension away from home too.”

Can Sakala be the difference?

The Gers lost in the Czech capital and did struggle at times, but it is clear that Adam believes Sakala’s pace can cause teams problems in the future.

The 24-year-old has had a bit of a disrupted start to his Ibrox career, and he has struggled for consistent game time.

Therefore, this was the ideal game to make an impression and perhaps make Steven Gerrard give him more starts.

Last season, he scored a good number of goals for his side, and we believe that he can make the difference over the course of the season, it is just a shame he couldn’t make the difference tonight.

This was an important match for Rangers, and Sakala tried his best but on this occasion, he couldn’t help the Gers win.

In other Rangers news, Chris Sutton has had his latest dig at the Gers.
