Confirmed Rangers starting XI v St Johnstone

Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for the Scottish Premiership clash against St Johnstone on Saturday afternoon.

Steven Gerrard is returning to the touchline at McDiarmid Park, and he brings back a number of big names with him.

Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the likes of James Tavernier are back in action, but Conor Goldson is missing out.

Ianis Hagi will be the big absentee this week.

The Romanian tested positive for COVID-19, but with it being during his trips with his country, no one else was affected at Auchenhowie.

Joe Aribo and new signing Juninho Bacuna should be able to cover that gap between them, and hopefully, it doesn’t make too much of a difference.

This new squad depth is being tested in recent weeks, and it is really benefitting the boys in blue.

Kick on.

It is time to put our foot down on the pedal.

Winning the first Old Firm of the season before the international break was the perfect end to the first period during this campaign, but it will mean nothing if it isn’t backed up.

Picking up another three points in a tough away clash against Callum Davidson’s men will be another step into recovering our best form.

St Johnstone caused us far too many problems last season in all competitions, but having lost a couple of key faces, it’s time to put our foot down.
