Rangers want to sign Millwall star Jed Wallace
Rangers are locked in a battle to sign Millwall winger Jed Wallace, according to Football League World.
The Championship star is currently into the final year of his contract at The Den, with no signs of an extension coming.
It is set to be a massive battle for his signature though, with English Premier League clubs and even Celtic interested.
The Scottish duo certainly have the upperhand though.
Both Rangers and Celtic can start approaching Wallace from January to sign a pre-contract agreement, with those south of the border having to wait until July.
Ross Wilson and his team have become somewhat experts in that field, and that could easily hand the Bears the upperhand.
The likes of Joe Aribo and Nnamdi Ofoborh have arrived on similar deal, and it looks as though this could be another waiting to be cherry picked.
Wilson has admitted this week that the time will come where the Bears need to sell some of their prized assets.
That is what makes deals such as this vitally important at Ibrox, as they look to not only replace but build huge profit on these deals.
Wallace has been sensational in the Championship in recent years, being involved in 43 goals since the start of the 2019/20 season.
Should the Light Blues be able to not only beat Celtic to his signature but a host of Premier League clubs, it would be a major statement to make.
Having played at Millwall for most of his career, the winger will relish the hostile environment, and surely be ready-made for the Old Firm.
This is certainly one to keep an eye on.
