Rangers including Ryan Jack in their Europa League squad hints at good news
Rangers announced their Europa League squad earlier this week, and though Jack Simpson wasn’t included, Ryan Jack was.
This is interesting, and it could potentially hint at good news for the 29-year-old and his return from a long-term injury.
You would think that if he had no hope of playing between now and December, then the Gers wouldn’t have included him in the squad, as that wouldn’t have made much sense.
However, the fact that he has been included hints that the Scottish international midfielder could play some part in the Gers’ Europa League group campaign.
Now, the latest claim on Jack’s injury was that his return date was still unknown, which isn’t great [Daily Record].
However, Rangers putting him in the Europa League squad seems to suggest he should be back before December.
This isn’t ideal, but at least we can predict that the midfielder should be back in Steven Gerrard’s midfield before the end of 2021.
Jack is a huge player in this Gers side, and Gerrard rates him very highly. He has described him as a “standard setter” in the past [Glasgow Live].
Also, Gerrard has described him as “fantastic” [Glasgow Times] so would be enthralled to have him back in action on the biggest stage.
So, he is an important player and him being included in the club’s Europa League squad is a huge positive. Hopefully, it won’t be too long until we get to see Jack back in a Rangers shirt doing what he does best.
In other Rangers news, Ross Wilson has sent a transfer warning to Gers fans.
