Rangers star Ianis Hagi test positive for COVID-19

Rangers star Ianis Hagi has tested positive for COVID-19 during the international break.

The playmaker has been away with Romania yet again and shined during the first two games of the week.

It looks as though Hagi will be missing for 10-14 days now, meaning that he will miss two-three games for the Bears.

PLZ Soccer shared the news on their official Twitter account this afternoon, with Hagi now set for a spell on the sidelines.

“Breaking Rangers FC attacker Ianis Hagi has tested positive for Covid while on international duty,” he wrote.

Ruled out.

Steven Gerrard will have been using this international break to get some of his players back available, but the opposite appears to have happened.

Nathan Patterson returned from isolation, only to pick up another injury blow with Scotland against Moldova.

As well as that, Filip Helander also appears to be struggling with Sweden so that could be yet another defender missing.

Hopefully, Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo get back from Nigeria in time for the St Johnstone game, or we could have yet another crisis on our hands at Ibrox.

The changes are likely to be ringed this weekend, but hopefully, James Tavernier will be one who this break benefitted.

Apart from the skipper, Gerrard will not be welcoming many back that missed the Celtic clash with new issues arriving every single day as it stands.

Fingers crossed, this is as worst as it gets.
