Predicted Rangers starting XI v Alashkert
Rangers are facing a squad crisis ahead of their Europa League clash with Alashkert on Thursday evening.
The Bears have been struck with a COVID-19 outbreak in their squad, with Steven Gerrard also missing the trip to Armenia.
Six of the first-team squad were missing from Glasgow Airport including the likes of James Tavernier and Ryan Kent [The Sun].
Allan McGregor and James McLaughlin were also missing, leading to Robbie McCrorie being handed a major start.
Nathan Patterson will also be handed another chance at right-back, with the rest of the back four showered with experience.
Conor Goldson, Filip Helander and Borna Barisic will all start as we look to go through to the Europa League in style.
Steven Davis is always one to rely on, and he will be holding in midfield to marshall the squad through this one.
Glen Kamara is finally back, and we can’t wait to see the Finland star shine once again on the European stage – we have missed him.
With John Lundstram missing through suspension, Scott Arfield will step into the side after scoring at Ross County.
This is a real opportunity to shine without Kent, with Ianis Hagi and Joe Aribo both playing further up in the final third.
That leaves us with Alfredo Morelos leading the line, with the Colombian looking to continue his rich scoring form.
Here’s how we expect the Bears to line up…
