Rangers to make Juan Alegria deal official this week

Rangers are set to make the signing of Honka forward Juan Alegria official this week, according to Pipe Sierra.

The transfer expert for WinSports TV, who have over 1.5million followers on Twitter, shared the news at the start of this week.

It is reported that the Bears will pay £85,000 plus bonuses to the Finnish side for the Colombian talisman.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Sierra shared the update after things had gone quiet over the weekend on Alegria.

“Juan Alegría (19) is very close to becoming a new player in the Rangers,” he wrote. “This week his transfer could be made official.

“The Colombian forward will arrive from Honka in an operation of €100k (£85k) + bonuses.”

Final piece?

There had been reports last week that the medical had been completed and that Alegria was already in Glasgow.

Whether that isn’t the case or not, the deal has yet to be announced as we head into the final week of the window.

Concerns should be at a minimum though, and this one looks certain to be completed this week and strengthen our ‘B’ side yet again.

At such a cheap price, the risk is virtually non-existent although many will be hoping for another Alfredo Morelos success story with a Colombina arriving from Finland.

Time will tell, but this one looks set to be announced in the coming days and could be the final piece of transfer business done at Ibrox in this window.
