FC Porto unlikely to move for Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos
People close to Rangers attacker Alfredo Morelos are not expecting an offer from FC Porto this summer, according to The Daily Record.
The report reads, “Sources close to the player don’t believe the Portuguese giants will make a move.”
FC Porto were reportedly interested in signing the Colombia international and per A Bola, the 25-year-old was prepared for talks with Rangers over an exit from the Ibrox to push a move to Portugual, but that transfer seems unlikely as things stand.

Good news
This comes as good news in two different ways. For starters, our biggest goal scoring threat will stay put at the club, unless there’s significant interest from elsewhere, which will only bolster Steven Gerrard’s attacking options.
Secondly, we’ve got a resolution to the Morelos-Porto saga with over three weeks to go before the window slams shut.
Typically, these things tend to drag on until the final week and often even deadline day, but that has not been the case this time around as Porto have appeared to cool their interest in the striker.
In our recent games, we’ve looked toothless in front of goal and despite Morelos playing our last league match, we still did not appear to have that clinical edge in the final third.

He missed pre-season so probably his lack of match fitness may have been a deterrent, but hopefully, he puts in a better performance today against Malmo, and guides us to the next round of the Champions League qualifiers.
It will be interesting to see, as the season progresses, how him and Fashion Sakala will complement each other as the two are both strikers hungry for goals and tend to occupy similar positions on the field of play.
Gerrard could also look to tweak his system slightly to get the best out of his attacking players.
