Roofe, Kamara suspended; Lundstram to make first start – Predicted Rangers XI v Malmo
Rangers will be without the services of Kemar Roofe and Glen Kamara for their Champions League qualifier against Malmo.
Steven Gerrard picked his weekend’s team with one eye on the European game which is why he opted against starting Allan McGregor, Filip Helander and Borna Barisic.
However, against Malmo, there’s so much more at stake and the Gers boss is expected to bring those three in and field the strongest available eleven possible.

Per The Scottish Sun, Roofe, Kamara and Leon Balogun are all suspended while Ianis Hagi is a major doubt and is unlikely to start this one.
McGregor is the default option in goal while the same can be said of James Tavernier at right-back.
Regardless of Balogun’s availability, Helander was expected to start this game alongside Connor Goldson at the heart of the Gers defence.
Barisic will also come in at left-back with Calvin Bassey dropping to the bench.
In midfield, Kamara’s absence would’ve served as a huge problem earlier, but with John Lundstram now at the Ibrox, he will be expected to come in for the Finland international.

The new Rangers signing did not start the game against Livingston so would be fresh and ready for this one.
Behind him, Steven Davis is likely to anchor the midfield while Joe Aribo will provide the legs in front of the Northern Irishman.
With Hagi being a doubt and Scott Arfield included in the matchday squad on UEFA’s official website, we’re expecting the former Burnley attacker to start on the right flank.
Kent, who was impressive over the weekend will have no takers for his left wing role while Fashion Sakala is once again likely to lead the line for us.
It won’t be easy, but we’ve overcome bigger obstacles in the past and should see this one out and the following leg on August 11 to book our spot in the Group Stage.
