Rangers waiting for Manchester United sign off to announce Charlie McCann deal

Rangers are set to announce the imminent signing of Manchester United talent Charlie McCann.

The Daily Record have reported that the Red Devils signing off on the deal is the only stage left for the transfer.

It is reported that the 19-year-old finalised his terms and medical on Thursday, meaning it could be announced as early as today.

McCann is well and truly a signing for the future and follows a flow of youth signings for the future such as Calvin Bassey.

The 19-year-old has signed his contract and will start training with his new teammates at Auchenhowie in 2022.

It is seen as a real coup and another signing from a Premier League club that requires a minimum fee.

John Lundstram is one for now, and McCann is one for the future – our midfield is sorted for many years to come.

Rangers

Promising.

For Ross Wilson to splash out nearly £1million on this deal, McCann must have caught the eye of Steven Gerrard.

With Michael Beale and the Liverpool legend to learn from, Auchenhowie and Ibrox is the dream destination for any young playmaker or midfielder.

McCann is described in the report by the Daily Record as one of the most highly-rated prospects at Old Trafford, so hopefully, there are no last-minute hitches.

Breaking through in Manchester is an almost impossible task, so coming to a club such as the Gers where they is a clear pathway, is attractive to all young talents.

Watch out for this name, hopefully, he is one we remember for many years to come in Glasgow.
